A Pop of Color

I wear a lot of black in the winter. I’m guilty of wearing the shade head-to-toe on the reg. You might see me mix in a bit of gray here and there — this usually happens on days when I’m feeling adventurous.

After a few cold, snowy months, this black/gray combo gets old. And my room quickly turns into a construction zone because I can’t. figure. out. what. to. wear. Do you guys know the feeling? It’s the worst.

I thought all hope for my wardrobe was lost. And then my friend Amber invited me to a clothing swap (more on that in another post). I swear she can read minds. I stuffed my bag with a couple shirts, a sweater and this dress. Shout out to Annie for finding it! This little number gives an all-black ensemble a more interesting edge. Can we talk about that pop of color for a quick sec? I’m lovin’ it.

DSC_0998DSC_0999_editedIt’s slowly getting warmer around here (despite the stubborn snow and ice still on the ground), and I can’t wait to style this fun little dress for spring and summer. You’ll definitely be seeing it more around these parts in the future.

This dress is adorable! Also, I LOVE YOUR HAIR. I’m thinking about chopping mine off soon… you should do a post for how you style it!

  • Great dress! Dressing in all black during the winter is so so easy, and I have to stop myself from wearing it so much! Who wants to see a blogger wear all black for an entire season?! So I love what you did here with sticking to the ease of the color scheme, but infusing some great color AND pattern!
