September Beauty Faves

So, we’re already feeling the October vibes at this point, but that doesn’t mean we can’t sit back and reflect on what rocked during the month of September. And friend, where beauty products are considered, you know I loved more than just a few.

Let’s dive in…

Untitled design-31. e.l.f Perfect Finish HD powder

septfaves2I’m a huuuuuge fan of e.l.f. products. This translucent powder has been a favorite of mine for awhile. It’s super easy to apply and gives skin an airbrushed finish. They recently repackaged it to come in a convenient compact, which I am 100% behind. I have the loose powder version and it’s a hot mess. Let’s just say there have been one too many incidents where it exploded in my car. Thanks, e.l.f. for saving me from myself.

2. NARS Bronzer in “Laguna”

septfaves4I feel like NARS “Laguna” is the Pumpkin Spice Latte of bronzers. People rave about it. They can’t live without it. And because I’m naturally curious, I just had to find out first-hand what the hype was all about. Let’s be honest, you could probably buy 10 PSL’s for the price of this bronzer, but in the end it’s worth it. The color looks great on most skin tones, and it isn’t shimmery or orange-toned like most of the bronzers I’ve tried.

3. Essie Nailpolish in “Devil’s Advocate”

This nailpolish is the perfect fall color. It’s a deep black/brown with a tint of burgundy. If you’re the girl who wants to try something other than black (which can be a bit too harsh on most skin tones), than this is your go-to shade.

4. e.l.f. Studio Matte Lip Color in “Wine”

septfavesI. love. this. lipstick. That’s all there really is to it. I wear it almost every day to work, and for the price (just $3), it has some serious lasting power.

5. e.l.f. Studio Endless Eyes Pro Mini Eyeshadow Palette

I never wore eyeshadow. Like, ever. This pallet changed everything. The lighter, neutral colors are my go-to’s for daytime, and the deeper, cooler colors are perfect for a night out. If you don’t want to fork out the cash for Urban Decay’s Naked pallet, then I highly recommend giving this one a go (it’s less than $10).

6. Benefit High Beam Liquid Highlighterseptfaves5

I’m pretty sure I received this sample size in a Birchbox forever ago, and recently rediscovered it. I’m hooked. The paintbrush applicator makes it super easy to apply, and the finish gives you that “lit from within” glow. Beyonce, I think I found your secret.

And that’s a wrap! Now, I’ve got to know — what are some of the products you loved last month? Share in the comments!

Disclaimer: The e.l.f. Studio Matte Lip Color and the e.l.f Perfect Finish HD powder were given to me through an opportunity with Collectively. All opinions are 100% my own…as in, I’m 100% obsessed with them.

  • I have never tried any e.l.f products but this post has surely inspired me to do so!

    Stay fab,
    Lisa Favre

    • Girl, go get you some! Haha, but for real. For how cheap e.l.f. products are, they’re surprisingly high-quality.

      • I’ll head over to the drugstore and try them out then! Again, thank you for the suggestion!

  • Preeti

love your pics! that essie polish is one of my faves!

    xoxo, Preeti

    • Thank you, Preeti! That essie polish is definitely my new fave :) I have a feeling it will be on serious rotation all fall/winter.

  • You encouraged me to try ELF HD powder instead of the one I was using from Sephora (5x the cost!) a few years ago and I’ve never looked back. Loving this feature and these photos, Natalie!

  • Ashley | Free Wills Studio

I love elf, too. I just got the HD concealer and am really digging it. I’m making a mental note to try the Devil’s Advocate polish and the Wine lipstick- those colors are amazing! Thanks for sharing some new ideas! :)

    • You will LOVE the polish and the lipstick (my fave). My mom is already planning her trip to Target to pick up both, haha. Thanks for the suggestion on the concealer! I’m currently using NYX’s HD concealer and love it, but I’ll have to give the elf one a shot soon!
