I teamed up with Vernacular, an adorable (and affordable!) boutique in Columbus, to help promote this year’s Dine. Drink. Dress. event, benefiting Dress For Success Columbus. The event is June 16 from 6 – 9 p.m. at The Bluestone. Get your tickets here!
True life: I’m addicted to white lace anything. The minute I walked into Vernacular and saw this lace dress, I knew it was all over. It was like it was just sitting there, waiting for me to fall into its trap. Well, lace dress, you won.
The fabric is feminine and elegant, old-fashioned and refined. It hangs loosely around your hips, giving it a 1920s vibe, and what I love most about this dress, other than the fact it’s lace (duh), is you can wear it with just about anything. Pair it with tan slides and a denim jacket for a more casual look, or dress it up like I did with strappy nude heels, gold jewelry and a bold lip.
If you’re in the Columbus area, I’d highly recommend you pay a visit to Vernacular, and its sister home goods store, Objects. The staff couldn’t be sweeter and the selection is on point. Think Anthropologie meets Free People over drinks with Francesca’s, Madewell and Urban Outfitters. It’s all so good. And their jewelry collection is one of the best I’ve seen. I wanted everything. Seriously.
Outfit talk aside, I hope you’re having a great week so far! We’re in the homestretch, guys. My sister is coming to visit me today to see our apartment for the first time (note to self: CLEAN), and I can’t wait to show her around some of my favorite spots in Columbus. She leaves for Europe soon, so it will be nice to catch her before she ditches me for French macarons and Big Ben.
