Blue Dress with White Flowers

I teamed up with Vernacular, an adorable (and affordable!) boutique in Columbus, to help promote this year’s Dine. Drink. Dress. event, benefiting Dress For Success Columbus. Check out the first look I put together here. The event is June 16 from 6 – 9 p.m. at The Bluestone. Get your tickets here

I could write a novel about Vernacular, an adorable fashion and accessories boutique in Columbus. But, for the sake of this blog post, I’ll keep it short(ish) and sweet. The selection Vernacular has is unlike any other boutique I’ve been in. I literally could see myself wearing every single thing, all day, every day. And unlike many boutiques, everything Vernacular sells fits well within my budget. Which brings me to my next point…

This dress. I’m into it. So, so into it. After I snatched this lace dress off the rack, I made my way to the back of the store, where this little number was hanging, waiting for me. It has the silhouette of a shift dress, but with a bit of a twist. A longer piece of fabric that almost looks like a jacket, wraps around it, making it breezy, unique and just plain fun to wear. The dress is ideal for sweltering summer days and has some serious Free People vibes, but without the Free People price tag (because we could all do without that nonsense). Seriously, $54? You can’t beat it.

It’s the perfect dress to wear for date night, girls’ night, or any day/night, if we’re being honest. And if you’re planning on heading to Dine. Drink. Dress this Thursday, it’s the perfect dress to wear there, too.
